So I did. Only I barely got through that expert’s first few modules because it was too complicated for me (no offense to her, she's amazing — I just have a hard time focusing on pre-recorded content). So I decided to do it MY WAY.
After watching just 3 out of the 16 pre-recorded video modules, I decided to take action and simply go for it.
Instead of adding unnecessary pressure to my first launch, I decided to call my digital course a “lab.” As in a laboratory...
I knew it’d be messy, so I told my audience the lab obviously wasn’t perfectly flushed out but was a solid concept. However, in exchange for their feedback on how it could be better, and a testimonial at the end if I earned it, they could enroll for a much lower rate with an extremely limited number of students.
I launched the first “Live Video Lab” in March of 2019 for $297. I received valuable feedback from my students while also helping them get amazing results.
But that wasn’t good enough for me… I refined that “lab” and ran it four more times to be sure it was wildly effective before officially launching it as my first digital course.
Now, just a few years later, that same program has been renamed Live Video Mastery and is priced at $597 (double the lab rate).
And that *one* lab-turned-signature-course has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars, and helped my students earn over $20M in revenue and priceless impact.
All from one digital course (ahem, I mean, one messy “lab”).
