How to Age with Grace and Honor Your Inner Mystic with Amanda Young
This is hands down one of the most important conversations I've ever had on the pod!
I’m incredibly excited to bring you this episode all around aging and feeling empowered and becoming embodied through some of the most challenging identity shifts we face as women.
This time of life is not always thought of with excitement or love or grace or… really anything except dread and resistance.
And quite frankly, I don't think enough women talk about the honoring, surrendering, grieving, and celebrating of this transition.
We're so deeply programmed to be in the “crone” mentality vs what Amanda calls the “mystic.” The mystic is the deep embodiment of the aging woman—the wisdom keeper—and I cannot wait for you to hear her share more about what that is and means!
As you know, this year has been one of the most transformative for me. Recently, I attended the ReWild Retreat with Davana May, and one of the guest speakers was Amanda Young, a women’s leadership mentor, embodied mythologist, an OG in the divine feminine space with over 18 years of experience.
Amanda, like me, is 53 years young! Beyond that, there is so much synergy and beautiful energy that assisted this very potent conversation, one which is so supportive for women who are awakening to a lot of different perspectives and insights right now.
One of the main reasons I wanted to bring Amanda on is because at the retreat, she talked about this concept of maidens, mothers, and mystics. Our conversation begins there and weaves in so many juicy directions!
In this conversation, we discuss everything from motherhood even not as a biological mother, to grieving identities, to goddess archetypes, “The Triad of Feminine Power” and we wrap with a simple and sacred embodiment practice that all women can easily begin to bring into their daily lives.
May this discussion awaken an aliveness in you. May it ignite a spark you maybe never knew you had in you. And may you be open and curious throughout this episode.
